What’s New?

New Features

  • Caption tidy up: As Cutback’s speech recognition has become more accurate, even picking up filler words like “uh” or “hmm”, we’ve added a way to hide those parts from captions without cutting the clips themselves. You can find this under [Edit Captions] → bottom-right [Caption tidy up] button.

    • Hide filler words: Automatically hide filler words from the captions while keeping the video intact.

    • Hide repeated words: Hide repeated phrases in the captions without trimming the footage.

  • Undo button added to Remove Silence: You can now access the undo feature even after closing the pop-up. After removing silence from the [Remove silence] panel on the left, look for the [Undo changes] button in the lower left corner.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where caption and clip start/end points were off by a few frames.

  • Fixed an issue where the timeline and undo button became inactive after selecting [Apply to sequence] → [Create new sequence] and then switching back to the original sequence.

  • Improved the overall chat experience with the Assistant.

  • Fixed some bugs related to uploading SRT files.

  • Fixed an issue where the multi-cam UI remained after switching to single-cam editing.

  • Fixed a bug that caused errors when using playback shortcuts in the preview panel.

Give this a try, and if you have any questions or feedback, let us know through the chat in the Cutback window. We always look forward to hearing from you! 🚀
