Introduction
When editing a video, you may often need to insert external materials like images, video clips, or GIFs. Do you close Premiere Pro, search online, download, edit in another tool, and then reimport into your sequence? With Cutback, you can now search and add high-quality, copyright-safe B-roll directly within Premiere Pro. Search free content from sites like Pexels, Pixabay, Unsplash, and Giphy, and edit them using Cutback’s built-in tools—no workflow interruption required.

Method 1: Search Free Photos, Videos, and GIFs and Add to Sequence
Step 1. Open a new project in Premiere Pro and prepare your audio and video files in the sequence.
Step 2. Go to [Window] > [Extension] > [Cutback] to launch Cutback.
Step 3. Go to [Window] > [Extension] > [Cutback Browser] to launch the browser.
Note: Cutback Browser is available only when Cutback is active and you are logged in.
Step 4. In the [Search resources] tab, select the media type (Photo, Video, GIF, Sticker), enter a keyword, and search.

Step 5. Click a photo to [Edit] it or click [Add to sequence] to insert it directly.

Method 2: Import Images from Websites into Your Sequence
Step 1. Open a new project in Premiere Pro and prepare your audio and video files in the sequence.
Step 2. Launch [Cutback] via [Window] > [Extension] > [Cutback].
Step 3. Launch [Cutback Browser] via [Window] > [Extension] > [Cutback Browser].
Note: Cutback Browser is available only when Cutback is active and logged in.
Step 4. In the [Visit site] tab:
Enter the website URL and press Enter.
Click [Add Images] to select a photo from the site.
Return to the Cutback panel to edit or add the image to your sequence.
❗ Important Notes
Some websites may restrict external access. Not all sites are supported.
Always check image copyright policies before using. Cutback is not responsible for legal issues related to unauthorized usage.
Method 3: Add Images from Subtitles
Step 1. Open a new project in Premiere Pro and prepare your audio and video files in the sequence.
Step 2. Launch [Cutback] via [Window] > [Extension] > [Cutback].
Step 3. Go to the [Edit Captions] menu and generate the transcription.

Step 4. Drag to select the subtitle segment where you want to insert the B-roll and click [Resources].

Step 5. Enter keywords to search or upload your own image.
