Getting Started

Step 1. Start Cutback and select 'Edit captions'


Step 2. Transcribe video


Step 3. After reviewing the transcript of the original language, click the translate icon on the top menu

Advanced tips

  • How to add translated captions only

    • After adding translation, click 'Add captions' (Step 5) and select 'Premiere Pro captions'> 'Split track for translation'

    • Activate the translated caption track (FYI, Premiere Pro supports only 1 active caption track)

  • How to show captions in 2 lines

    • Sentence length vary depending on translated language, so showing more than 1 line of captions could be required.

    • In the transcription, go to 'Caption format' in the top menu and turn on 'Multi line'

    • Or press Shift+Enter to line-break a sentence
